This is an exclusive opportunity to be part of the first cohort of practitioners to take my newest course.
This course has been over 2 years in the creation and brings together biomedicine and functional medicine to inform TCM diagnosis and treatment in a course that is suitable for both Acupuncturists and Herbalists.
Introducing a new way of understanding and tackling inflammation
The course takes a deep dive into the many ways in which inflammation is both a cause and effect of ill health. I've based the teaching in this course around a client with endometriosis, although the teaching is just as relevant and applicable to any chronic condition where inflammation is a factor, such as Lyme Disease or arthritis, as well as being highly relevant for treating fertility and perimenopause. I will teach you how to uncover the hidden root causes behind your client's symptoms and then how to treat them with TCM.
Issues covered in the course will include:
- Bacterial infections
- Viral infections
- Using health tech
- Anxiety and the immune system
- Mast cells and macrophages
- Leptin and Ghrelin
- Fasting
- Mitochondrial support
- Stress and sleep
- Microbiome issues
- Food and inflammation
- Insulin resistance and shame
- Aromatisation and oestrogen dominance
- Wild card issues such as biotoxin poisoning, lyme disease and viral reactivation
- Ovarian pathologies
All of these issues will be given an integrated approach; I will teach you about them from a biomedical or functional medicine point of view, and how TCM can be used to support your clients.
This course is suitable for Acupuncturists and Herbalists. While I teach TCM, practitioners of other Chinese Medicine disciplines with a good knowledge of TCM should be able to apply the teaching appropriately.
Around 25% of the course will be devoted to the clinical application of the concepts that have been discussed so that you will complete the course and be ready to apply what you've learned the very next day.
Herbalists will be given herbal and herbal formula guidance, whilst Acupuncturists will be given point selection guides and a good understanding about how to work in conjunction with Herbalists to enhance their client's experience whilst maintaining their role as primary practitioner.
This course is suitable both for those who have completed my Advanced Level Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture and those who have not taken the Diploma. For those with the Diploma (or currently studying for it) it will add a new depth to the work done in the Diploma.
For those who have not yet done the Diploma, it will widen your understanding of why, for example, people present with infertility, chronic health issues, how to help them in perimenopause or premature ovarian decline, how to look for hidden issues which can be game-changers for your clients - without having to undertake the in-depth learning about the immune system, blood testing and all the infertility-specific issues covered by the Diploma.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the beta testing in-person or online?
I have not yet decided. The first small scale beta test was in-person over 2 days, but this was perhaps not enough time. Therefore it may be necessary to hold a hybrid beta test, part online and part in-person, or it may be entirely online.
Will I get the full value of the course if I am a beta tester?
Yes, because you will get extra access to me as a teacher when you are a beta tester.
Is this course only suitable for practitioners who specialise in fertility?
No, while the course covers the links between inflammation and infertility, the course is important for treating any condition where inflammation is a factor (i.e. pretty much everything!).
Can I take this course if I haven't done the Advanced Level Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture?
Yes, the course is a standalone course without any entry requirement and is also relevant for practitioners who have completed the Diploma.
What level of TCM experience do I need to have?
This is a TCM course so you will need to have a good understanding of TCM to understand it and implement what I teach. That said, the course is suitable for new TCM graduates as well as seasoned experts.
What is the price and the payment options?
We have not yet finalised the price but will try to offer a way to spread the cost over more than one payment.
